It has a role as a calcium channel blocker, an antihypertensive agent, a vasodilator agent and a geroprotector.It is a C-nitro compound, a dihydropyridine, an ethyl ester, a diester, a member of dicarboxylic acids and O-substituted derivatives and a methyl ester.
